Seeing this band live was fantastic. The entire venue was clouded in fog and strobe lights were running. If you get a chance to see them, do it.

I have not seen them live but I love their self-titled album.

excellent band, remind me a lot of the Jesus and Mary chain. Would love to see them live, i doubt they will come to ireland anythime soon though....

I couldn't believe how few people were moving or dancing at their show. Their sound has such sheer energy to it; I was bouncing off the ****ing walls.

Does anyone else find them to influenced by Joy Division?

I would say they sound more influenced by the Church than Joy Division. Also very early REM.

hmm, I've never heard the Church so I can't comment unfortunately.

If you've never heard them, they're really worth a listen. A Place To Bury Strangers are more raw and noisy sounding but other than that they sound a lot like the Church.
