Good album. I didn't know he was from the Bay area. A friend of mine heard him on a NH radio station during the local hour, so I assumed he was from NH. I can see the relationship between That 1 Guy and SGM because they're about the instrument-making, but the sound it self definitely reminds me more of Primus.

It depends on the song. Some of the tracks remind me SGM's more minimal moments a la "The Creature". |
