Default Is Ween alone in experimental rock?

As I've been listening to albums deemed experimental rock (like Radiohead's Moon-Shaped Pool) and I've noticed fewer and fewer bands staying primarily rock, but instead are moving towards ambient music.

No they are not alone.

Try Primus, earlier Modest Mouse, Butthole Surfers, and Mr. Bungle for similar ****.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

Of older bands that are somewhat similar to what Ween do is The Mothers of Invention (with Frank Zappa), and Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band, and to some degree and also a bit newer They Might Be Giants.

Ween - Alone

When the life inside no doubt has died
And you've turn your head away
You tried to pay, but at the end of the day, it's you again, alone

Alone, confined
The mess in your mind
When you can't relate to them
You've reaped and sown, but little is known by those who aren't alone

Why should a man learn not again what he has learned before?
He's overcome but must succumb to what he's living for
He tried and tried
All those survived
He missed
He's fallen short
The little known, his heart of stone, will make him feel alone

Alone, confined
The mess in your mind
When you can't relate to them
You've reaped and sown, but little is known by those who aren't alone
