Default The Druds

I was researching some music from the New York scene in the mid 60s - Henry Flynt, Godz, The Primitives, etc, and I came across references to a band that included Walter de Maria (famous sculptor), La Monte Young (experimental musician in "The Theatre of Eternal" music with future VU member John Cale), Jasper Johns (painter), Claes Oldenburg (sculptor), Lucas Samaras (photographer) and Andy Warhol. I read that they never recorded anything, but another article stated that they had unearthed some. Anybody know where I can find them?

Did you ever get a reply? Did you get any of the music? I went to a Warhol exhibit in Toronto, and they played some of the music there. I wish I could remember what it sounded like! I just read online that they played some (probably the same) at a Larry Poons exhibit. The music has never been released officially, but it seems like it would have passed through the hands of somebody who couldn't resist the opportunity to bootleg it. I am very interested in getting my hands on some of this music too. Let's work together!
