The Soft Moon
A Darkwave/Post-Punk band from California. They're pretty rad and I'd recommend anyone into post-punk or darkwave music to get their s/t. I really dig "Circles" because of the percussion and the atonal noise solo in the middle, it's all amazing.

Really enjoying their self-titled. Kind of eighties throw-back in their tones but nicely done.

Yeah their self-titled is pretty cool, nothing special but good for listening to on the rare occasion. The one thing that irks me a little bit about them though is that some of their songs sound like they're going to go somewhere really awesome but then they stop short. I love the dark and creepy atmosphere on that album however and that's what makes it interesting for me.
Their new album Zeros is out at the end of October and I'm quite interested to hear it. |

Listening to the self-titled album, pretty good, thanks. Reminds me of Kraut.

I'm going to say this as delicately as humanely possible. A Place To Bury Strangers and The Soft Moon should not sing/attempt to write lyrics. I love both bands, I saw both live, but holy **** Luis Vasquez and Oliver Ackermann should just stop before it gets any worse. I was so pumped to get this on a super limited silver 7", then I ****ing heard it. Also, as far as APTBS I almost chucked my copy of Worship at the wall I was so pissed when I heard "Dissolved" come on. |
