On Lulu, he sounds like an old man who's seen it all. And he probably was exactly that. Much of it, his vocals don't work for me, but some golden moments, there's a world of hurt and life experience in his voice. It's the main thing that keeps me from agreeing when people say Lulu was garbage.
He's never going to be a favorite of mine, but at least I can see your side of the coin. |
