What the hell did I just listen to?

I am both intrigued and befuddled. I'm not sure if it's so insane that I love it, or so insane that I hate it. I will have to listen to his albums ASAP, because really, those were some of the craziest songs I've ever heard... and I listen to Albert Ayler.

miettesbrainchild 11-03-2012 02:43 PM

Yeah - that was kind of my reaction as well.
I stumbled across him when I put 'venetian snares' into music map. What a find!

It certainly has that marmite vibe.

I hadn't previously heard of Albert Ayler. I've just checked a couple of youtube clips. Sounds great so far so am downloading some as a write. Looking forward to shoving that into my mp3 player - thanks.

Nostril is brilliant, and Hallelujah is going to be out of this world.

Here's my favorite.

A melting-pot.
In the same vein, you might like Mr. Bungle, Vladimir Bozar N' ze sheraf orkestar, iwrestledabearonce and carnival in coal (the album 'collection prestige').

I never liked Mr. Bungle or the Bear Wrestlers but this is goddamn awesome.

It's weird, but the illustration on the 'Brutal Swing' track posted above somehow looks exactly like a guy I used to know.

This is basically my new favorite music. I didn't think it would work out, classical, breakcore, and death metal, but ****.
This song is killer

You might also want to check out his side project too, it's more death metal oriented than Igorrr, but it's still pretty damn awesome.

I love this track so much,
don't even understand why i like this guy :D

He has done a very nice remix of a Meshugah song under the defunct label Impulsive art, I dont know if its available anymore, but i remember it to be a killah!
