Default Loop

An awesome psychedelic/space-rock band in the vein of Spacemen 3. I really can't get enough of their three studio albums over the past couple of months, Heaven's End (1987), Fade Out (1989) and A Gilded Eternity (1990) are all amazing albums with trippy, repetitive grooves and submerged vocals.

If you like fuzzed-out, spaced-out music this band is the dog's bollocks.

I caught Loop back in 1990 and they were superb. It was my first 'shoegaze' gig and it just blew me away, the fact that I was half cut probably helped!

My absolute fave Loop track:

Heaven's End is a pretty good album. Forever is a great track, really doomy.

They are all fine albums. Just how I like my shoegaze. Psychedelic, hazy and trippy as ****.

I once became obsessed with Heavens End. I might have to give it a listen as it's been a long time now.

I've never really checked these guys out but I do have a split they did with Godflesh. I find it interesting that that even exists.

That must have been incredible. If I was to see them live in the flesh I probably would get completely baked.

Heaven's End is my favourite album of theirs. There's just a strange hypnotic quality to it that makes you go back for more, it's almost as if they are brainwashing you to do so.

They're great, Fade Out and Heaven's End both tick so many boxes for me. Very much in the vein of of Spacemen 3 circa Sound of Confusion - which tellingly is my favourite S3 album.

this thread was the reason I decided to register / Loop is one of my favorite bands of all-time. Gotta love that drone!

Perfect highway music; windows down blasting fuzzed out riffs, smoking and letting the music to handle the pedals
