Buckethead's reputation

Why has buckethead such a ridicolous amount of people claiming he is a godlike artist? In every youtube video related to him you will find people claiming he is the best, his music is so emotional, and it sometimes can be a little ridicolous in my opinion. Sometimes i feel like there is some hidden prestige gain by listening to his music, kind of like some people like to say the love classical music, or classic "universally socially accepted and respected" rock stuff. I dont know if i got my point right, he's a good guitarist (even if he is not the cleanest out of there), i got mad respect for his INFINITE discography that continues to broaden, enhancing the already big amount of genres he put his lower extremity of the vertebrate leg that is in direct contact with the ground on, but i dont get it. Can you please explain me what you find so amazingly good in his music? Keep in mind that i dont want to offend anybody, i'm just curious and i'm looking to broaden my horizons :yeah:

What don't you find "amazingly good" in his music, or are you just trying to spark a discussion?

He's just a great musician who's covered almost any genre that you can think of, and his mastery of the guitar is only one of the reasons why people tend to think highly of him.

Do you rate an artist by the amount of genres he has in his discography? If i record myself farting and i autotune the fart making a soul track, a classical track, a techno track, a jazz-rock track and a electro-pop track and pack them all togethere, is it a good album? If i take a **** on all the wcs all over the world (yes even in your wc) does it mean i am a good ****ter? No, it just means i ****ted all over the world, but what every single one of that ****ty pieces of **** doesn't smell or is not big enough? Your logic is nonexistent.

I will take just one example. This album alone gives me the utmost respect for him. For someone who is not even primarily a blues guitarist...A masterpiece imo

I feel like he appeals to a lot of the metal crowd. I've seen him live lots of times and he is even better live rather then sitting around and putting on one of his albums. Bottom line, if you're not into the pretentious shred jerk fest, you won't be a fan. I love shredding death metal and metal. He satisfies my classical and avant garde ear candy. He's no god though.
