One of the most obscure-yet-legendary outfits from the '80s Industrial / experimental music scene.
Revolving around the nucleus of JOHN MYLOTTE, RICHARD and PHILIP RUPENUS (both of them of THE NEW BLOCKADERS fame) plus SEAN BREADIN, METGUMBNERBONE never really presented themselves as band, more as a group of ‘devotees’ recording their rituals at abandoned, cavernous locations and industrial sites, such as huge silos and subterranean railway tunnels...

That reminds me of throbbing gristle, did they ever get any cassettes out there or was it just vinyl?

I think they were a part of the DIY underground cassette culture.

I don’t know if it was ever released on vinyl tbh
