Oh yeah, in the midst of that I wanted to point out that I think Yann Tiersen is a modern-day musical genius who seriously doesn't get the credit he deserves: At least on this side of the "pond."
We could argue that a lot of film composers don't get the credit they deserve. Have you heard the soundtrack to 'The Fountain' by Clint Mansell. It's a great piece of work.

Definitely... There just seems to be a stigma around film composer music in music circles for some reason.
