Default In need of help.

I need to pick out a final piece for my piano class for next quarter. I'm not that great at piano, but I need something that will be challenging. I am on book two of the Older Beginner Course by Bastien. There are so many classical pieces out there that I haven't the slightest clue as to where to begin to look for a piece. I do know that I want to play something that is darker sounding, maybe in a minor key. I really love the song Moonlight Sonata, but it is WAY too difficult for me to play.

Please give me lots of suggestions, I need as many ideas as I can get =)

Thanks a bunch!

Rachmaninoff Prelude in C. My ex GF auditioned for music school w/ that piece and got in. there only one slightly difficult passage. The rest is pretty easy-breezy.

It will probably be hard to do this in its entirety, but I suggest (that is, if you really want a minor key), Beethoven's Piano Sonata #8 in C Minor, more popularly known as Sonata Pathetique. Its long, so you'll have no problem finding a good excerpt. As for the melody, it is soft, inviting, but can be dark. Hope this helps.

This girl is quite moving. She captures the sound emotion very, very well - much better than anyone else I've seen..
