Starting Cello's

I'm new to cello.. and I'm wondering what the cheapest or so somewhat decent cello is i could buy and where from (ebay, special store, etc)

Sherl & Roth make really good instruments. I would suggest checking e-bay, pawn shops, or even online stores and just find out which one has the best price, without really being damaged (the cello). If you can, just play something on the instrument. Even if you don't know what you're playing, just pluck the strings. That can tell you what the instrument is going to sound like. Take somebody with you that can play. Have them play a few things. Inspect the instrument. If it has a few scratches or anything in the varnish, my advice would be that instrument would make a good student instrument. Provided of course, it still sounds good.
