Yea, Lang Lang doesn't really get a lot of love in general for his interpretations. I sorta agree with that, not to say he isn't talented or anything.

Anyway, I enjoyed what you posted. It's going on my fave list.
But in doing so, I have to post what's possibly the cheesiest representation of good Classical, but is balanced by the sheer good selections (albeit the most popular ones, which doesn't really detract from the quality IMO), and is bolstered by the simple fact that it's 6 and a half hours long, and actually flows pretty well...

I'd like to see something like this with different content.
And something that doesn't categorize it as "piano music"....

Maisky is a talent for sure. And although I've seen other artists play the most recognizable bit, I still hold this guy in very high regard. His other performances are awesome as well, especially his more recent renditions of pieces not formally played via Cello.

It should probably be noted that Cello is my favorite of all orchestral instruments.

I don't know, I usually go through youtube looking at different version, but I will go with Julian Bream, since he is one of the top classical guitar players. It's transcribe to D for guitar. Something about a live recording of a classical guitar thins out the sound of a classical guitar. This recording isn't too bad, there is a glitch in it. The second video is Prelude in C, a similar piece. I think there is better bass response being recorded in a studio. Chirstopher Parkening is one of my favorites and I find his interpretations to be very expressive.

Jacques Bono, you think since he went all out to rent a tux he could afford to get shoes as well. His verison lacks dynamics, and it's not expressive - he plays it fast and furious. It's still amazing to watch.
