^ Perhaps a bit dated now. This was written between 1918 and 1924. The hustle and bustle at the beginning represents cars zipping around on the street. Fantastic music, though. You'll hear where John Williams got a lot of his ideas in there.

Mauro Lanza - Vesperbild


Doesn't represent modernisation per se, but the ideas are clearly of 21st century postmodernism.

And there are a few more that I can't find at the moment, including a performance piece that consists of two computers running PureData, reading off a list of buzzwords to each other via Skype to piss off anti-terrorist agencies. Speaking of PureData, Kreidler's tutorials are the best.

You might recognize it from There Will Be Blood, although it had violins and a burning oil derrick playing as well.
