Not sure about classical music, but vibrational therapy and whole tones used at specific frequencies have been proven to heal ailments.

Dr. ROYAL RIFE harnessed this technology with great success.

You ever try binaural beats or meditative frequencies? They legit affect your consciousness. There are things called RIFE MACHINES that use wands or pads that you can tune to specific frequencies. They have a list of frequencies which correspond to specific ailments. The stuff is legit.

Stress reduces the body's healing ability.

Nice music relieves stress, if you let it.

So I can easily imagine that classical music - or any pleasant music that soothes rather than excites - might help healing.

Yes, classical music helps in healing faster. Not only classical music but every music has an ability to relive stress in human brain.

I one time lost my legs and played a little classical music then they grew back.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Listening to Bach's Goldberg Variations once relieved my period cramps by relaxing me

There is a belief that listening to classical music on late pregnancy stages will make babies smarter. On the other hand, studies (can't find the link) show that people who listen to rock music statistically have a higher level of intelligence.

Yes. Eat a classical score printed on acid-free paper every day. Vivaldi makes you happy, but be careful with Beethoven.
