Maybe the Khene

I did not go the Metropolitan Museum of Art to find this out, however I did obtained this information from various YouTube videos and other on-line scientific articles.
3. Bullroarer 20,000 BP 2. Diatonic bone flute by Neanderthal caveman 60,000 BP 1. Claves* 200,000 BP *They were not perfectly cylindrical, or were highly polished as the modern day mass produced kind are. However they were made from the same material that modern day Claves are made from ... believe it or not. |
A bone flute from 60,000 years ago.
|
The Shofar and Didgeridoo are ancient instruments too. However I could not ascertain how many years BP they were. However it is speculated that the Didgeridoo could possibly date back to 40,000 BP. If anyone could verify the BPs on the Didgeridoo I would be much obliged.

Also, the bone flute came from cave bears.
|
I made a short investigation and seems like it was flutes made from bird bone and mammoth ivory.
|
Yes, I also read about the Neanderthal Flute, found in the cave of Divje Babe in Slovenia, which is thought to date back at least 50,000 years, making it the oldest known musical instrument in the world.
