Alasdair Roberts

Some say he's Scotland's answer to Bonnie Prince Billy. You can stream a song or two here:

He's touring at the moment, i went to see him last Monday. Awesome gig, amazing drummer on some of the tracks and he had a cool supporting folk act as well who seemed to be playing the greatest hits of the 18th and 19th century!

My only regret is he didn't play 'When a man's in love he feels no cold' which is a rare track but worth checking out as it's one of my personal favourites.

He does kind of remind me of Bonnie Prince Billy. Thanky.

I really like his voice. It's perfect and as said the drums pretty damn cool. I guess I have to listen to Bonnie Prince Billy now.

Recently got his 2005 album No Earthly Man which in fact features Will Oldham among others. The Bonnie Prince Billy association apparently goes back as far as 1995 when Roberts presented Oldham with a demo at one of his gigs.

In any case, not a bad album. Still need to give it my full attention.
