Dustin Kensrue
 

Dustin kensrue, the lead singer of Thrice, started his own little side acoustic/folk project a few months back. You can check out his myspace for some stuff www.myspace.com/dustinkensrue he only has one song and it's just called Folksonglive but he has 3 videos, one of which is an original song, another is a cover of Creep by Radiohead and I forgot what the other video is of, but it's a cover as well. Anyway, check it out, I really like it, and he's supposed to have an album coming out soon, Teppei is doing basically all of the studio work for it.

The other is most likely his Counting Crows Cover "Round Here".

Its okay, though its basically an acoustic thrice and its a bit boring. I have an EP, i'll upload it in a bit.

I really like the stuff, but i've always loved his voice and lyric writing.

I don't remember his EP, but his actual album I believe is different. Its still average, some great songs on it though. It reminds me alot of Rocky Votolato, pretty upbeat with that countryish sound and it even has some harmonica parts. I'll upload it if anyones interested.

Its on the download right now. Im pretty exited. I love Thrice...I love Dustin.

So i gave the album a listen..its too short. I liked it a lot and I wish it were longer. Ethan, i know where you're coming from when you talked about him reminding you of Rocky..Consider The Ravens sounds like it should be a Rocky song. Great Album though.

He said in an interview that he wanted it to be longer, but that it felt complete with just the 8 songs so he didn't want to add anymore and thus throw off the feel of the album.

I don't remember the ep, it wasn't good enough to stay on my computer but I'd say that the album is actually something worth talking about.

I think it's really bad. There's maybe one or two good songs, and the rest sounds like he's trying too hard.

His album is amazing. Its not what I expected, but its amazing.
