Anti-Folk

A bit of an odd subgenre, it fuses punk rock and american folk music from the mid 80s.. it typically is a way of mocking the music industry in a very raw, authentic manner. Anyone into such acts as moldey lemons, adam green, the frogs, filthy pedro and the lucksmiths?

I like Adam Green though he's the only one you mentioned that I've heard of. Care to upload anything?

What's so "anti" about it? Most of what I have heard sounds just like regular contemporary folk music...

'Contemporary' as in the same time period as Moldy Peaches?
I think not.
I see what you mean though. Smog and and Palace Bros. got the same weird tag in the early 90s. It's just another silly title for a sub sub ad nauseam genre.
