"Charlie just got home today serving 5 to 30, charlie swears he's comin clean forgot the whole world dirty" - The Panhandlers, Trials&Errors-PartIII - Prison Rodeo Clown

"To send me blue valentines Like half forgotten dreams Like a pebble in my shoe As I walk these streets And the ghost of your memory Is the thistle in the kiss And the burgler that can break a roses neck It's the tatooed broken promise That I gotta hide beneath my sleeve And I see you every time I turn my back" - Tom Waits, Blue Valentine (greatest ever)

"There is fiction in the space between The lines on your page of memories Write it down but it doesn't mean You're not just telling stories " Tracy Chapman, Telling stories (most underrated SS)

"Unplayed piano Still holds a tune Lock on the lid In a stale, stale room Maybe it's not that easy Or maybe it's not that hard Maybe they could release me Let the people decide I've got nothing to hide I've done nothing wrong So why have i been here so long?" - Damien Rice, Unplayed Piano

"Once I had everything, I gave it up for the shoulder of your driveway and the words I’ve never felt.
And so for you, I came this far across the tracks, ten miles above the limit, and with no seatbelt, and I’d do it again,
For tonight I went running through the screen doors of discretion, For I woke up from a nightmare that I could not stand to see, You were a-wandering out on the hills of iowa and you were not thinking of me." - Dar Williams, Iowa

I relaized these lyrics don't look as good as they sound...it takes an emotive voice to give them power. Try them out though.

Jesus Christ was a man who traveled the land. Hard working man and brave. He said to the rich give your goods to the poor. So they laid Jesus Christ in his grave.
-Woody Guthrie

And the people in the houses all went to the university
Where they were put in boxes and they came out all the same,
And there's doctors and there's lawyers, and business executives
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.
-Malvina Reynolds[I think. It's been recorded a lot]

What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
I learned that Washington never told a lie.
I learned that soldiers seldom die.
I learned that everybody's free.
And that's what the teacher said to me

If you don't want recruiters they'll deny you your funding. The soloment[sp?] amendment is an amendment that gives the Secretary of Defense the right to take away funding to schools who chose not to have recruiters on their compass. That sounds like military fascism to me. In every sense of the term. ...And the long and short of it is that orgnizations that fight wars on lies and deciet will lie to and deceive you.
