I'm surprised this thread isn't filled with indie kids complaining he's not groundbreaking or innovative yet.

Lol, 'this album isn't the best album ever and in no way changed my life....it sux'

I've heard the album & it's nowhere near as diverse as The Beatles.

He. Is. So. Awesome.

First came across him on Jools Holland, singing the 'Dog House Blues', then saw him at Reading. Love himmmm!
He's such a character and what a great musician ^_^

I've just found out about this man today, and I have no idea how I haven't heard anything by him, or even heard of him, before. The more I listen to him, the more I absolutely adore his style of playing and his easy-going vocals.

I discovered him recently and felt the need to add my appreciation to the thread.
I love all my blues music- don't get me wrong- but I find a lot of it tends to run together at times. Seasick Steve really has a distinct way about him, so when I hear his music there is absolutely no mistaking who it is. His sound is refreshing- its the same old ratty blues that you want to hear- but from a tad bit different perspective. I like his humor too. He's rather witty and you can't help but like a guy with the life story he's got. Who could make more genuine blues than that? I would love to see him live.

Conclusion: I would hop a train ol' Steve any day of the week.

bought all his albums since seeing him on jools holland. what a great guy! had the opportunity to hold a microphone for him during an interview... its funny but he hates that people think he was a hobo turned musician. apparantly he was only on the streets for short period of his life... got cleaned up got married, thennnn started his music seriously.

ahhh the industry... spinning their stories to suit their needs
