Default The Pentangle/Bert Jansch

Such an amazing guitarist. I only recently got my first albums by him/them, and they blow me away everytime. Both guitarists are among the best acoustic players ever, and the bassist Danny Thompson is phenomenal (he also plays with John Martyn.)

The classic:

And this video pretty much defines cool to me:
YouTube - Pentangle - Travelling Song

Fairport who?

I am a bit of an admirer of The Pentangle. I actually picked up Solomon's Seal and Jensch's The Ornament Tree in a bargain bin today. Have you ever listened yo John Renbourne?

I've heard some songs from the Bert & John album and am as impressed as ever. They were both incredible acoustic players.

BUMP

I think Jansch's eponymous debut is one of my favourite folk albums of all time. Nothing he did after that, be it solo or with Pentangle, quite reached those heights
