Default Lucinda Williams.

I am off to see her live this week. I have been listening to Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, West and Little Honey. Great voice and some of the songs are top of the shelf in quality. Car Wheels is the best by a long way. West is a grower. Little Honey is getting better with a few more plays though the version of Long Way To The Top is a bit problematical.

I am intrigued if the long term fan struggles with the overt pop direction of Little Honey. A definite attempt at the mass market IMO.

I havent heard the new album, but I am a fan. I don't think that this could be a permanent ghange in the direction of her music. She's paid too many dues to fall into the sell out category.
