I am familiar with mostly older Israeli music. I also heard alot of arabic musiwhen I lived in Israel, but am not familiar with the artistes
So if anyone is familiar either with Arabic music artistes or contemporary Israeli acts, please post here!

To kick off, someone who must have been one of Israels biggest stars, the late OFRA HAZA

I like Arabic music, this is an awesome remix of Amr Diab's Habibi:

I heard some Aviv Geffen, plus a fair bit of Israeli music on the radio but couldn't understand who it was.

^ Two great songs there,Moshe. Anyone who hasn`t clicked on the Amr Diab link (like me until 5 mins ago) is missing out.

My favourite cd of Arabic music is by the Egyptian percussionist, Hossam Ramzy, who has done a lot to popularize traditional Egyptian music with a string of top quality albums, mainly recorded in the `90`s, I think. Here`s a sample of what he can do with the tired old genre of Bellydance :-
