That's a Kris Kristopherson song

What does any of this matter? Half the songs listed as favorites weren't written by Johnny. Hurt and Sunday Morning Coming Down are two of my favorite songs by him. Sure he didn't write them, but he didn't write A Boy Named Sue or Ring of Fire either. A Boy Named Sue was written by Shel Silverstein and Ring of Fire was written by June and another guy (can't remember his name off the top of my head) Even Folsom Prison Blues which everyone seems to love (don't get me wrong, I love it too) isn't entirely his. He is credited for writing it, but he stole 3/4 of it from another song. I'm just saying that just because he didn't write it, or someone else sang it first, doesn't mean it can't be counted as a Cash song. He definitely put his own style into every song he did.

Have you heard 'My mothers hymn book'? Its a gospel album but its deep and I guess it was quite personal to Cash. Its worth a listen
