Default Didgeridoo

I'm looking for a blog that puts up some Didgeridoo music. I've always loved the sound of the things.

In case you aren't familiar, a Didgeridoo is an instrument developed by the Aboriginals of Australia. It has a deep, droning tone. It requires an incredible mastery of a technique called "circular breathing", which involves inhaling through the nostrils whilst simultaneously expelling air though the mouth. Using this technique, a skilled player could drone for nearly an hour.

I quite liked that second one. Seems a little Western influence adds a nice touch.

Interesting fact: traditionally women aren't allowed to play didgeridoos and Nicole Kidman upset Indigenous people by playing a didgeridoo at some event.

I love 'popular' music that incorporates the didgeridoo. There isn't a lot though, due to the fact that it requires a lot of skill. If any examples come to me I'll post them here!

Here is a band from my hometown, Melbourne. They're called Jungal. They usually incorporate a stack of didge into their songs but this was the best I could find on YouTube!

Looking through my music collection I have 2 didgeridoo compilations: Didgeridoo Dreaming which is quite traditional and Dreamtime Didgeridoo Festival in Berlin which is contemporary didgeridoo music (a few electro tracks in there if I recall correctly). I'll up them if anyone is after them.

The last time I tried to play a didgeridoo was as a kid and I couldn't get a single nice sound out of it but that's no surprise since I can hardly coordinate my breathing patterns whilst swimming, let alone for this purpose.

I'd love to have them if you get the time to upload them.

The most recent song I've heard with the didgeridoo was actually on American Idol last week (yes, I watch American Idol), when Crystal Bowersox (my favorite contestant!) sang "Come Together" accompanied by someone playing the didgeradoo:
