Default Davey Graham

No thread on this demi-god? One of, if not the best, English Folk musicians ever to caress an acoustic guitar. He was known for his, at the time, pioneering blending of cultural styles and emphasis on melody over harmony.

Have some fackin' vids, oh and get Folk, Blues & Beyond. It should be an essential part of any music fans' collection.

I'm really liking these songs. I've been meaning to check out Davy Graham as well as Hamish Imlach since they were both big influences on John Martyn (and because I'm on a folk kick atm). In fact, I'm acquiring Folk, Blues & Beyond right now

Since my last post, I've been thrashing Folk, Blues & Beyond which is a great album. It's clear to me that Davy Graham was a masterful musician with a melting pot of influences.

Good stuff, it's great and more people should listen to it. His album with Shirley Collins; Folk Roots, New Routes , should be heard too.
