Default Valravn

Take the vocal stylings of Bjork, a fascinating mix of Danish traditional Folk music and modern Trip Hop beats and top with a ethereal sound and you get Valravn.

The only album I have at the moment is Koder Pa Snor and it's early days for my listening but this is really fascinating stuff and appeals to me at many levels.

Have a listen:

It is my own thread but I am surprised at the lack of takers They are a superb band and certainly distinctive enough for further exploration.

You`re right ! It`s a very powerful combination of styles. Is that track typical of the album ? I particularly liked the swirling, instrumental section at the end.

Pretty cool group photo, too !

I've been digging these guys for a while.

I have:
Krunk Krunk (2007) FLAC
Valravn (2007) FLAC
Koder På Snor (2009) V2 VBR

And also their 1 album released as Virelai:
Havmandens Kys (2006) FLAC

The track Under Bølgen Blå from the album Valravn is particularly tasty!

Their stuff is not terribly hard to find, but if you need help, shoot me a PM

I just love them I think it's very unique band.

I didn't know about albums Krunk Krunk and Havmandens Kys - I would like to have them...

In 2011 album Re-Coded was released.

It's remix album by other artists, for example Faun, Omnia, Orka, Transglobal Underground or MIDI LIDI from Czech Republic.
This remix album is mostly more electronic than original Valravn. Valravn as a band choosed artists for remixes because as I know, they like Faun, Orka and so on.

One remix from the album:
