Los Jaivas - Latin american folk-rock

I have just registered in this forum, and this is my very first post, I'm chilean, and as chilean, and music lover, music lover in all it's kinds and styles, I feel obligated to bring you all some music of my country, music from a band that I believe is one of the best folk-rock fussion players.

This work, I think, is like few around the world, it's a progressive rock and some other styles fussioned with latin american folk; Inspired in Pablo Neruda's poem "Alturas de Machu Picchu", based on the mythical peruvian ruins.

First a live concert from year 2011 which I think is one of their best performances:

Welcome to MB, MashGM, and thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for Las Jaivas with us. To judge from the live clip, they put on a very professional show.

Don`t worry if the response to your musical posts is small and slow - that`s how it is in this section of Music Banter. Have you seen that we have other threads of Latin American and Spanish language music? You might find some kindred spirits there.
