Latin Music

There are a plenty of latin music genres that I din't find in this forum.
Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cumbias...
I open this threat to encourage people to share their favorite Latin Music.

Hi, feed! Welcome to MB. I hope you enjoy yourself here. I’m always pleased to see someone who is interested in “world” music. :wavey:

Unfortunately, the MB search function is not very effective at generating relevant threads. In fact, as you might imagine for a site like this that has been running for years, people have posted plenty of Latin Music suggestions. Here are a couple of threads that I found:-

http://www.musicbanter.com/general-m...atin-week.html
http://www.musicbanter.com/internati...ino-music.html
http://www.musicbanter.com/country-f...ic-anyone.html

^ I can’t remember if that last thread is reserved for music from Spain, (for which, by the way, there is also a specific thread.) There are threads devoted to Argentine and Brazilian music too.

As far as I know, Salsa is the only Latin Music genre that has been honoured with a thread of its own:-

Sorry if this is too much information, feed; it’s not my intention to discourage you from posting, it’s more about hoping that you might see some recommendations, and enliven some of these rather stagnant threads !

Finally, in your post, you don't mention any favourites. Any special Latin style you like?
