On page one, I posted a list about different area of Asian Music.

Different region and race have different music style/trait.

Each region of the music, I can use 4 Chinese characters to summarize their music trait, but Translate it to English I need to use more words.

Again, it just a music trait summary, it's not a specific instructions. (I want to talk about them later, while I can share music on here)

So, here is the Asian music trait summary list.

These music trait summaries are related to their instrument, singing style, music style, culture background, history............

In western world, the most popular Mongolian music from Russian-Tuva Huun-Huur-Tu band.

After 1700, Russia conquer all the North Asian nomad, and eat a lot of Mongolian territories. After 1860, Russia let Qing dynasty give them a lot of Northeast and Northwest territories. U.S.S.R let Mongolia Independent and Mongolia become their vassal. Therefore, nowadays Russia have some great Mongolian music band.

Because Russia conquer Tuva in 1914. They can easily spread their music in western world.

Tuvan throat singing was found by a Russian.

So throat singing be called Tuvan throat singing in English

In fact, throat singing is a nomad singing style. Chinese historical book recorded that Xiongnu(Huns) already has throat singing.

So throat singing popular in Russian, Mongolia, China(Inner Mongolia province), Central Asia(Historical reason)

There are some beautiful throat singing songs in Mongolia and China, but western people don't know it.----because these songs don't have English name.

I have listened a lot of throat singing songs, I think the best singing throat song is a Manchu throat singing song.
The name is "Manchu Music---Xibe(Chinese Ethnicity) Girl---满族音乐---锡伯姑娘 "
You can find it on YouTube, this Manchu throat singing is high pitch-throat singing.

There are two types of throat singing. One is high pitch-throat singing, another is low pitch-throat singing. Your YouTube video is low pitch-throat singing.

I think their(Huun-Huur-Tu) music is the Mongolian epic music. However, there are many beautiful Mongolian music you can't find on YouTube and western music website.

I'll talk about Mongolian music style, trait and instrument later, I still want to talk about Manchu music first.

There are more than two types of throat singing. You have kargyraa, which is the low, rumbling type of singing that uses your vestibular folds. Then you have khoomei, which is the one with the higher whistling controlled by emboichre. Then you have sygt, which sounds just like khoomei, but has a wider range and can hit more overtones. Plus underneath all of these you have various substyles, oidupaa kargyraa is probably the most well known.

One of the cooler things that I find about Tuvan throat singing is that the techniques are to mimick different elements of nature: wind blowing down mountainsides, water swirling through rocks, etc.
