I've featured them in a journal once, but Gypsy Kings need their own thread. If you've ever watched the movie "The Big Lebowski", then you've heard them play their rendition of "Hotel California", or even in "Toy Story III" where they play a flamenco version of "You've Got a Friend in Me". Nominated for a Grammy seven times, and collaborations with the likes of Ziggy Marley, and (I had no idea) even Bananarama, these talented musicians from France have been creating rumba flamenca music since the 80's. They've been an inspiration to me as I'm sure they have for countless others.

My mom has three or four of their CDs that I've been meaning to listen to. Guess I'll use this as an incentive to do so.

I've only heard a few of their albums, but Love and Liberté is one that stood out for me, so hopefully she has that.

I like the way this band mixed up their genres a bit, which was not so common back in the nineties, but unfortunately I overdosed on their sound when I was in Europe one summer and every restaurant and radio was playing this song:-
