Mid-Air Thief, or RYM's new South Korean Sweetheart
There's this South Korean artist called 공중도둑(Mid-Air Thief) making some waves in niche internet communities with their newest album Crumbling, which was released at the tail-end of July. I would be lying if I said that their fusion of neo-psych, electronic and folk music didn't get me invested myself. I already bought the album off of Bandcamp.
On RYM the album is already reaching the top 25 of 2018, but I haven't heard much talk of M-AT outside of RYM and Bandcamp. What do you guys think about this?

I prefer their first album.

I think it's definitely great, but I prefer the more Animal Collective-ish sound of the new record over the Beach Boys-heavy self-titled. I don't think it'd be a stretch to call both albums exemplary of contemporary folk music.

Make sense for me, since I'm really not fan of Animal Collective.

I like it. Not something I would listen to on the daily, but as some abstract background music, it fits the bill.

My dead thread senses were a tingling. They never lie.
