The Nickel Creek Thread

I just noticed that Nickel Creek has not gotten any respect at MB yet so i decided to give them a thread. Their latest cd (Why Should the Fire Die?) is definetly the best in my opinion, if anyone has anything to say, feel free to add to the Official Nickel Creek Thread!

Thier "acorss the bridge" song was amazing though I can't find it on any album. Im starting to wonder if its them, but their play style is identicle.

I bought one of their cds a while ago. Years ago, now that I think about it. I really tried to like it, but it just seemed a little softer than what I'd expected.
They're really talented, for sure. The reason I bought the cd in the first place was because I saw them on Soundstage or something. They were edgy and they rocked!! I mean, if you like bluegrass, which I do, then they rocked!!!

I was just let down by the softer sound they had on the cd.

I dont even know if id call them bluegrass, i think they're very origonal though. They definetly have more skill then some of the rock musicians and the musicians of heavier genres.

Most bluegrass musicians do. It's one of the purest forms of music ever.

the solo album the guitarist made is pretty good too, i think they were all trained classically, i love it though.
