Need help finding a song
 

I was listening to a country station or at least i think it was a country station, and I heard this song but can't find its name or who sings it. I know the song is about suicide. The singer is asking what could have happened to the boy that he would feel so alone. He asks that repeatedly. I remember that it starts the same way it begins with him saying that the story is in the paper on page 2 under some football scores i think. I've tried searching and asking in chatrooms, but no one seems to know this song. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
