Been reading about this thing where cops corral protesters into dead-ends or cul-de-sacs just before curfew,
then arrest all of them afterwards. One guy decided to let them into his home and it didn't go over well with the cops.

It's called kettling and has been a police tactic for a long ass time. Recently they used that technique on the Occupy Wall Street protests and now they're using it for the BLM rallies. They recently let people onto the Manhattan Bridge only to block both entrances. It's f*cked up sh*t.

We have the right to assemble until it pisses the people in charge apparently.

Peaceful assembly, with a permit, in a corner away from the people who need to hear it, for limited hours and not too loud. All it costs is a night in jail.
