I watched that this morning. That’s a common podcast topic but it was still really interesting. The like and follow buttons are powerful forces.

I agree! I haven't watched the whole film but I don't need to be told something I already know and understand. Tiktok is the worst I think because of how 'right in your face' it can be flipping through videos. Other platforms you gotta either click on something or go out of your way to see something..

It's all about the algorithm they use. I don't think code can be inherently evil, but if I did, TikTok's algorithm would be especially evil.

No, I would not. Cocaine in isolation is neither good nor evil, which is probably why you're seeking some kind of exposition on my claim.

I should clarify, it's not the code or algorithm alone that is evil, it is the act of it being leveraged to manipulate other humans to their detriment, for private profits and benefits of others that would fit my definition of evil.
