I don't think there's enough money in three universes to make me grasp your point... :yikes:

I sure did. I thought it was interesting that the law was only about HIV, not applicable to any other comunicable diseases, and was passed during the HIV hysteria of the 80s. I also thought it was interesting that most people sent to prison due to it were the result of solicitation of prostitution stings where no sex ever occurred. Those struck as things that would really jump out at a person with strong small government beliefs so I was surprised that you didn't mention them.

It's also stupid to carry a thousand dollars in your wallet through the ghetto at two in the morning. It should still be a felony to rob you.

What if it was only a felony to rob you with a pistol but not with a shotgun? Would you think that was a dumb law?

Regardless of the context of the law's passing, if you knowingly give someone a deadly disease, you should be guilty of a crime more pressing than getting caught with a dimebag or running a red light. That's ****ed up ****.

I agree. But it doesn't sound like that's what this law is.

I'm sure it was a fear law, but that doesn't mean the crime should be a misdemeanor offense cause of pendulum swing.

Let's replace HIV with Ebola. Does the same sentiment hold true?
