I used to take those same District Line trains through Parsons Green on a daily basis. It's a quiet, attractive corner of London as I hope these pics illustrate:-

At Parsons Green The Underground is overground. There's a small piece of London common and various Victorian pubs which I used to drink in occassionally. The roads are relatively quiet and the hundred-year-old houses are carefully preserved. In short, Parsons Green is a pleasing collection of all the elements that make London a city that is still attractive.

At least there appear to be no fatalities, which is certainly something, and most of the injuries seem to be relatively minor ("due to flash burn") - guy did not know what he was doing, made an arse of it so it seems. Luckily.
