let's set aside that the average minimum wage worker is over 30 years old

what if an 18 year old has rent to pay, just **** him because he's a teenager?

**** any worker who doesn’t work hard for their money. you’re not entitled to making the same amount as somebody doing a way better job than you. the teenager thing was just an example. this idea of entitlement that just because you can show up and stand there means you deserve just as much money as the guy next to you who is busting his ass to provide for his family is idiotic.

you can check the wiki link i posted for a rough idea.

essentially he’s in favour of training police more in LGBTQDhaisuchsbaiaiaoaolasoonandsoforth issues and allowing people to identify by whichever one of the 1001 genders they choose on their ID.

my opinion on the matter isn’t strong enough to persuade me to vote differently because of it. it’s the land of the free, do whatever the **** you want homies. including drugs.

Tackling the big issues then.

Reminded me of a guy here who couldn't open a bank account because they require you to select either male or female and he identified as a 'genderqueer non binary' :D.

Maybe it would be better to make it so that you don't need a high ranking position to afford rent.

But the guy next to you busting his ass would also be making minimum wage.

take that up with the landlords charging 3x what their place is actually worth

almost anywhere in my province you could work a min wage job and very easily afford rent and food. my province also has the 3rd highest unemployment rate and is the 2nd poorest in the whole country. surprise?

obv i know this isn’t the case anywhere, but cost is definitely region based. i bet you pay out the ****ing ass for rent in big cities in California. does that suck? hell yeah it does. is paying everybody 5 dollars more an hour gonna fix it? no chance.

any min wage job i’ve worked (mcdonalds, wal-mart, theme park) there were plenty of opportunities for growth depending on your seniority and work ethic. and wal-mart for ex i got 3 promotions in less than a year because i didn’t just go there to **** around and i actually did what was asked of me.

Pretty much all the people at my job have two jobs just to make ends meet, so minimum wage clearly does not easily allow you to afford rent and food, or even to afford it at all unless you're living in a hovel eating ramen noodles. You know, unless you raise it.

yeah. see i don’t care what ppl want to be called but the issues arise when they refuse to write M or F on government or health documents bc there are certain things that actually are dependent on your sex. but that’s their problem not mine tbh.
