Sarah Palin has TWO years of notable political service after defeating the incumbent Alaskan governor in 2006. This is a ploy by McCain's campaign to attract female voters. The woman has absolutely no redeeming qualities and is so deeply ingrained in conservative dogma that I'm surprised the relatively moderate McCain would have endorsed her. She has no expertise in the political arena and remains only a token to buy the votes of politically depraved women.

I could understand people voting for Hilary. I might not like it, and I might not have wholeheartedly endorsed her, but I sure as hell would have still rather seen her in the oval office rather than McCain. But now...we have a way that the godless motherfuckers in the Republican party can gain control once again. And how do they do it? By appealing to the ignorance of America. The GOP has evolved into an utter pile of shite that isn't worth recognizing anymore.

I hereby renounce my faith in the two-party system.

Um, the two party system is largely responsible for the ridiculous amount of corruption in our country's politics...Why would you ever have faith in it?

sleepy jack 08-29-2008 05:56 PM

Yeah it was the system and not certain politicians who are to blame.

ProggyMan 08-29-2008 06:09 PM

Well yeh, human nature certainly played a part, but a big part of it is the system. Do you really not think the system is flawed if the vast majority of mainstream politicians are corrupt in one way or another?

sleepy jack 08-29-2008 06:12 PM

Explain how the system is the cause of corrupt politicians.

ProggyMan 08-29-2008 06:25 PM

It's not the cause, but it's one of them. The main two parties are both subject to the whims of large corporations, if there were third, forth, fifth and so on parties then such a thing would be impossible, or at least less extreme.

sleepy jack 08-29-2008 07:01 PM

You're still not explaining how.

ProggyMan 08-29-2008 07:10 PM

It's not so much that it creates corruption, more that there would be less without it, so I misrepresented my opinion I suppose. .

Really, how much can the GOP disrespect the integrity of American intelligence?

Yeah, but Obama is in the same boat.
Alot of people are going to vote for him simply because he would be the first black president, and if someone starts pointing fingers at me and yelling "racist", I'll e-murder you.

McCain is stupid, and Obama is inexperienced.

We're screwed either way.
