Does TV brainwash? Well, as it may depend on what you choose to watch... yes, yes it does.

Look, just because you've found a way to tenuously join the dots from TV to fashion doesn't mean that you have to drag an argument from one thread into another, especially if you're going to ignore what has already been presented. |

Yet another inductee for the dbag hall of fame. How exactly did this turn into a personal attack towards Vanillas sense of fashion? |
I watch TV all the time.... in fact I'm a long time fan of the small screen. I think it's not how much you watch but what you watch.. if you watch nothing but news your only going to get bad news.
EDIT: Regarding the link that Yukon provided... are you ****ing serious? Really? Really? ...really? |
Philo T. Farnsworth was said to have had noble intentions when he invented the television. He wanted it to be to used as a tool to educate and inform people about different cultures and lifestyles.
Lol. So much for that. So yeah, according to his family, the guy pretty much regretted ever inventing the damn thing and didn't even let his kids watch it. I imagine that a conversation like this took place sometime in the mid 30s. "I want this device to be used to educate our society and come to understand other cultures" "Meh... F*ck that, lets use it for marketing, propaganda and creating a new genre of entertainment where people get to do idiotic things for large sums of money." And thus, the TV industry was born. |

Once again I have asked you a basic question and you tenuously answered it. That is what is really going on. |
