Does TV brainwash? Well, as it may depend on what you choose to watch... yes, yes it does.

I understand that you want to stick up for ppl but it seems you have a hard time giving me a hand, when I am obviously right. This post shouts favoritisim.

Please explain to me how you find media (TV is one of many forms) pushed fashion off topic. I will listen, I just would like to see how you can justify that being off topic.

There is no favouritism here.

Look, just because you've found a way to tenuously join the dots from TV to fashion doesn't mean that you have to drag an argument from one thread into another, especially if you're going to ignore what has already been presented.

You should do your research before you post.. This isnt the first time you have attacked me either. I am bringing facts to the table to be debunked however you have not doing any debunking.. You are bringing anger since I caught you in a lie... Its ok by the way, I just don't think you were aware of how powerful some of this stuff can be...

Thats why I asked if crap was in fashion would you smear it all over your face... Not to be rude, just to be honest. BTW you can say whatever you want about my $5-$10 stupid quote tees I dont care, they were gifts.

Why else would you buy anything like that. Who declares whats in style? I promise vanilla... Its not you.

Yet another inductee for the dbag hall of fame.

How exactly did this turn into a personal attack towards Vanillas sense of fashion?

I watch TV all the time.... in fact I'm a long time fan of the small screen. I think it's not how much you watch but what you watch.. if you watch nothing but news your only going to get bad news.

EDIT: Regarding the link that Yukon provided... are you ****ing serious? Really? Really? ...really?

Philo T. Farnsworth was said to have had noble intentions when he invented the television. He wanted it to be to used as a tool to educate and inform people about different cultures and lifestyles.

Lol. So much for that.

So yeah, according to his family, the guy pretty much regretted ever inventing the damn thing and didn't even let his kids watch it.

I imagine that a conversation like this took place sometime in the mid 30s.

"I want this device to be used to educate our society and come to understand other cultures"

"Meh... F*ck that, lets use it for marketing, propaganda and creating a new genre of entertainment where people get to do idiotic things for large sums of money."

And thus, the TV industry was born.

Who declares whats "in"? That's not weak at all. The only thing weak are your non-answers. I asked you to tell me how it does not relate to your " fashion"...

Once again I have asked you a basic question and you tenuously answered it. That is what is really going on.

Why don't you read over the bolded part and ask yourself how you've related any of it to TV as a brainwashing device? What you've said there is not an argument, it's a pastiche of personal attacks/assumptions and misdirected ranting.

If you want to talk about the crap smearing thing, keep it in this thread.
