Earth Hour (shows, quote, Guitars, Acoustic guitar, Lute)

Earth Hour

So today it will be earth hour. For those of you who don't know what it is, the point is to make as many people on our planet as possible turn off their lights for one hour. In this timezone, it happens at 8:30 to 9:30 PM. You can click the link above to check when it's on where you're at.

Me and the GF are inviting people over for food and getting drunk and when earth hour starts, we'll turn off the lights, replace the stereo with acoustic guitars, flutes and accordians and light some candles.

Anyone else here gonna turn their lights off?

I'm going to celebrate by using as much electricity as I can while leaving the car running.

Honesty 1 hour will do nothing at all except save you pennies and prolong 1 hour of what ever the earths outcome is.

I think the point is the message, to prove that it's possible to work together across border and do something like this. Noone working in electricity is going to lose any sleep over this, so I think you can calm down. Also, I don't expect selfish morons to participate so you're probably excused.

Your working to save fossile fuels thats cool ok I understand your desire to help. Regardless of what you do your change is minimal and I think that if you look around are more pressing changes that need to take place.

Saving on your electrical bill to me with everthing that is going on seems selfish. Now if you wanna talk after watching the video i posted maybe we could agree that we can help each other with on a larger level.

Holy crap, didn't you read my post? I said the important thing was the message, I'm not in it to save a lousy penny on electricity or because I think it will help the environment. It's because of the symbolism. It shows how people across borders can make an effort together.

What the hell does a 2 hour long video about the corruption of America have to do with Earth Hour and me turning the lights off?

Your goals are minimal, my goals are large just watch it...

In summary what you will notice is that Obama has not followed through with anything. The Troops are still over there and the wait for them to come home keeps getting extended. He promised to get rid of the patriot act but now supports it, He has actually doubled the amount of troops in Iraq. This list goes on.

He is a puppet controlled by the banking elite and there are to many gullible ppl here just watch it.
