You will have to backtrack a bit in the thread I think ;) Put short, if you legalize, they will tax it and the black market will explode. Thus, there will still be marijuana related crimes.

It's debated in more detail some pages back.

it wont be legalized anyway so it doesnt matter, should it be legalized in my opinion yes, but it would have the same restrictions and rules as alcohol does.

Can you see into the future aside from telekenisis, or are you just replying to the title without reading anything. This is far more possible than mind tricks.

The US is currently researching how other countries are prospering and vice versa from the legalization.

I'd imagine the main thing holding it down now is the tobacco industry and the hit they would see on sales if marijuana was legalized. They have a lot of power on Capitol Hill and the $$$ to sway votes.

i don't see the connection. the majority of people i know who smoke green smoke brown as well. there's the whole 'increased buzz' factor from having a cigarette after a J

I don't think any smokers are gonna switch all their cigs for joints. I think marijuana smoking recruits tobacco smokers if anything.

When I tried to quit smoking when younger, I resorted to smoking alot more J's. Now that I have no remorse for harming my body, a good menthol post-blaze is great, and now I actually fiend for it.

A lot of professional business types use cigs as a post work stress relief, they really don't mess with weed at all because of the potential damages to their career/reputation. With marijuana legalized, they could turn to weed instead of these cigs. Not to mention if you have a 15 minute smoking brea for slacker jobs, a lot of these times will be filled with weed instead of cigs. While I'm not saying one will cut cigs for weed, it will reduce the amount of cigs in a day....specifically for the professional types.

The younger crowd not so much at all I would assume.

I've been a smoker, I quit 6 years ago and I couldn't replace a cig with a joint. First, I don't like being under the influence all day and second, unless there's tobacco in that joint, I wouldn't feel satisfied.

On the other hand, I think smoking pot makes it easier to start smoking tobacco.

Wait what?

pahuuuta 05-08-2009 12:01 PM

you are more likely to smoke a cig with weed
