Obama couldn't convert an alcoholic to Jack Daniels.
He wasn't my choice, but he obviously convinced a lot of people about some plan he apparently didn't have any plans for. I don't want to get into badmouthing a sitting president, but he obviously has some conversation skills.

I like how it was hip to support him during election, and now it's hip to complain about him during his term. Americans are a fickle people.

Is that anything like people wanting a war, and then after it starts, claiming they never wanted it? And then go on and on about how it is supposedly illegal, and never should have been started in the first place?

I do have my criticisms of Obama, but I really find this annoying for the most part. Now people are actually going, "See, Bush wasn't so bad..." WHAT?! People just want a clearly defined dogma to follow and then someone to blame when it ****s up.

That's a big yes. Our government is spending over 40 billion dollars a year on the war on pot, and today our debt is such a huge problem. It's very ****ing stupid to continue this pointless war that infringes on peoples rights.

Now here's something you and I can agree on!

It's about time. I saw that you commented before I opened the thread and thought, "Oh gosh, he must be against this, perhaps just because I'm for it."

There is no doubt it is everywhere around here.

People smoke it in front of the bar facing the srteet around here. Its not like there's some big secret. They have pictures and logos of it on their hats, shirts, and jackets. Weed is part of the culture in a lot of California.
I see this poster was/is from California. Me and my pot growing/smoking friends were for the legalization effort but really didn't like the wording of the bill produced by the guy Richard Lee? from Oaksterdam University (Oakland's pot growing and distribution school). I like the guy, but his bill was poorly written. Plus, all the folks in the Emerald Triangle (Humboldt and neighbors), the weed capital of the world, hated the bill because they would be screwed if they started mass producing pot in warehouses in Oakland. After timber industry slowed, pot is just about the only way those folks make a living.

But pot is highly legal in California, and from what I've seen, Oregon is lenient. For 100 dollars and a two hour wait, I was able to get my medical card and go to the dispensaries (there are TONS, in just about every city and even small towns usually have one) as well as grow up to 6 plants. Plus, around that time, Obama's stance on it was hands-off as long as we're going by state laws. But he reversed that position and got all draconian again. Haven't really seen the effect of that because I didn't grow in the 2011 season. But I plan on doing it this April-October and hoping for the best.

I'm down for legalization, but I hope to get one more successful grow in before the market is flooded with cheap weed. I have a feeling that well grown bud will still command a decent price and a following, but folks are going to have to keep ties with their old connects and not go down to the government bud store to make sure they don't get skunked.

It's great to go to bars in California that are chill enough to let us smoke weed on the back patio with the cig. smokers. I miss that immensely. Nothing like not having to sneak out and around the block. Can sit and drink and smoke at the same time. Beautiful.

It may be legal in your state but that doesn't mean the federal government and the DEA won't come violate your rights and raid those shops. Complete bull****.
