Musliums try to 'save others' too, but I don't see people going on about that
.

As far as the way some Christians have behaved, it's not how they should have used their faith. We can't control the past, the Church group did a lot of bad things to get power and fortune, but that doesn't mean the whole religion is bad. You can't stereotype a whole religion (that has that many followers) because of what humans did, because God put us on this Earth as sinners and it's up to us to make things right.

Are you serious? America is the most picked on Nation in the entire world at the moment. And completely deservedly so, might I add. We elected and then reelected an unintelligent, immature party boy as president who almost single handedly drove the world into an international crisis.
But even before that Americans have always been picked on. Not necessarily a bad thing, that's just what comes with the territory.

People do go on about this. We're just not discussing it at the moment. Islam happens to be a much smaller religion, therefore it affects less people; less cause for conversation.

As for that last bit, I agree. I don't have some grudge against Christians because of what Catholics did hundreds of years ago. And a lot of Christians today are completely different. You merely wondered why people always picked on Christians, that was my explanation.

I think what you probably meant is that islam is a much smaller religion in the west. There are 1.5 billion muslims in the world. That's definitely not "much smaller" than the 2.1 billion christians.

But still considerably smaller. It's true it has grown really fast.

Well I guess it's really whether you consider the 1.5 billion to 2.1 billion a considerable difference. I look at that and see a huge difference. But I can see how others don't.
I'm not christian.

1.5 billion is still a big enough number to be significant. I think the several posters who're debating this with you aren't just looking at this as a numerical comparison between two religions.

Wow, I totally joined this forum today and did not expect to see a thread like this going, XD

I would like to thank you for make the point that you are not generalizing all christians, personally I am a christian myself,

There are some aspects to certain christians that drive me insane, like the ones that try to shove our beliefs down other peoples throats, this isn't fair. And I was once one the people gagging on it, funny how I'm here now.

Anyways, I would just like to reply as a christian who feels spiritually compelled to do so. I have not read much of the bible yet, but I am strong in my convictions about God.

If anything I say offends you I apologize

It is very difficult for someone who has not 'experienced God's presence' as I'll put it to understand why Heaven seems like such a great place, I will try to explain it through a more general life situation:

You meet someone, and they care for you unconditionally. They love you and accept you for who you are like no one else you have ever met. You fall deeply in love with them in return. Such strong feeling gives you uncontrollable compulsions to make them happy by living or acting a certain way. You want to spend the rest of your life with them, making them happy.

However life is like in heaven all I know is that I love God (Yes I know its smothered in that cheesey goodness when I say that XD) And I want to be with him,

And that was my first post
Go me XD - Hope everyone can take something from that

(Btw I can spell Violence - Its suppose to be Violence and Violin together)

What scares me most about the concept of heaven is the thought of spending an eternity together the psychopath who rules the place.

I'm a Christian, Protestant, to be more accurate, but I wish to ask something.

Have we discussed the idea of thoughtforms/tulpas here? The whole projection of mental energy creating a sentient figure or being.

Could that not be a theory for God and Heaven? If enough people have devouted strong thoughts to this issue, believing it in themselves, could this not occur?

And if so, would Heaven then become whatever the majority thought was?

Just an interesting thing to ponder.
