Hetero refers to attraction to the opposite sex, Cis refers to being naturally born within, and identifying with, a given gender, very different things.

No it's not. Hetero is the opposite of gay/lesbian (the word homo has to many alternate meanings), Cis is the opposite of Trans, it's completely proper English..
