Muslims clash with police after burning poppy in anti-Armistice Day protest - Telegraph

Jesus Christ.
This group is everything that's wrong with Britain:
Let's show these poppy burning bastards how many people want them deported | Facebook

People actually want Hitler to come back and "kill anyone who isn't white."

I'm so embarrassed right now that a load of people believe the actions of 20-30 people represent an entire race.

Lets not gloss over this too much man, theres no getting around the fact that those involved are absolute scum. Its only right to be morally outraged, and its only to be expected that the latent racist contingent within britain will, as always, latch onto any anti-white-british-sentiment as an excuse to piggyback their worldview onto the airwaves.

That doesn't justify the response BY those racists, but of course, they were racists before this happened, and will continue to be racist long after. The smart thing to do is focus on the act itself and remind ourselves that racism is just as bad on both sides and we need to get rid of it as a whole.

Just be rational ffs.
The 30 or so people who did what they did are quite clearly scum, and there's nothing more you can really say about that. But people - in their thousands! seem to think those 30 people represent their entire religion.

I'm actually not taking it too seriously, I'm just laughing at how backwards some of them are. "Bring back Hitler" Jesus Christ.

I saw some people comment on a friends status about it,it was all like "get them out of this country!".
pretty shocking though, but isn't it the exact same as the quran thing?

Yep, Great Britain welcome to what we had to deal with back in September. Honestly I can't say any of it surprises me all that much, I did experience a large hostility towards minorities when I was living in Wales, but I was also living in a small village and that exists just as much in Canada and the US. By and large the only reason why the comments are so hideous is because anyone can be John Wayne behind a keyboard, it doesn't take courage to write profoundly ugly things when online, even when using a social media site like Facebook, it can still afford you some anonymity.

The way the page's name is worded suggested to me that it's just the ones who actually burned the poppies (the "poppy burning bastards") that should be deported, and I fully agree with this. You cannot come and live in our country without respecting (or at the very least, not publicly defacing) a very important part of our culture and history. Obviously, the vast majority of the Muslim community is not responsible but the acts of those 35 or however many it was was disgusting and I fully believe they should be deported.

TheCunningStunt 11-12-2010 07:58 PM

I wasn't really talking about the 30 or so extremists that did what they did (I wouldn't really want to give them 30ish people the attention) I'm talking about the thousands of British people outraged and expecting the actions of 30 or so people to be represented for an entire race of people and for an entire race to be held accountable.
