Personally I dont use it because I like being a private person and I know the kind of garbage being put up there anyways. Im sure im missin out on some social crap but i figure if people went thousnds of years without having facebook so can i.

it is a great way to network but yeah people abuse facebook and can make it a terrible experience for others. Facebook the tool itself is harmless , the people utilizing facebook is what gives facebook its bad name/stigma.

I read about this. I think that's so silly why couldn't he name his daughter facebook like as her middle name/nickname. Facebook as a first name will get her teased for the end of time.

Its like anything else...it can be good or it can be bad. As far as keeping in touch with friends it can be really useful.
